She eventually ended up becoming the head chef of Butter. Guarnaschelli participated in the 2007 Farmers Market Battle, a segment of Food Network's Iron Chef America, where she took on Cat Cora. Since then, she has been at the show's guest judges. In addition, she took part in The Next Iron Chef Season Four in 2011, when she placed third. Additionally, she was eliminated in the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. Her position was upgraded to sous chef for Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the 4th season of The Next Iron Chef. She joined The Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008, and she teaches a small group of students on how to recreate classic dishes.
